On May 23, when the refreshing rain was moistening the earth, the Sacred Assembly of the Day of Pentecost on which God promised to pour out the latter rain of the Holy Spirit was held in the Churches of God all over the world.

The Pentecost is a feast to commemorate the event that Moses went up Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments on the 50th day after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea after the Exodus, which was called the Feast of Weeks in the Old Testament. The prophecy of this feast was fulfilled by Jesus when He poured out the former rain of the Holy Spirit upon the early Church on the 50th day after His resurrection (Ex 24:12; Acts 2).
Mother asked Father to pour out the latter rain of the Holy Spirit like a waterfall. She also prayed that Her children would be clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit, which is seven times stronger than the one given at Jesus’ first coming, and would go to Samaria and to the ends of the earth to preach the words of life to the souls suffering from a famine of hearing the voice of salvation, so that the redemption work could be accomplished amazingly enough to surprise the world.

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim explained how boldly the apostles preached Jesus after receiving the former rain of the Holy Spirit 2,000 years ago, and he clearly stated, “God pours out the latter rain of the Holy Spirit on us in this age, so that we can powerfully testify to the Spirit and the Bride.” Then he encouraged the members to faithfully carry out the mission of God’s witnesses to proclaim Elohim to all nations. He also emphasized, “The power of the Holy Spirit works when we absolutely believe that the prophecies of the Bible will be surely fulfi lled.” And he urged, “Let us accomplish world evangelism through the great power of the Holy Spirit, believing and following the prophecy that ‘the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations’ ” (Ro 10:13-15; 2 Ti 4:1-5; Rev 22:17; Mt 24:13-14).
After the service, Mother comforted Her children who had devoted themselves to prayer for ten days early in the morning and in the evening, and asked them to put their efforts into the Holy Spirit Movement to quickly lead the souls, who were trembling in fear because of the news about disasters, to Zion a safe refuge, and bestowed the abundant blessings of the Holy Spirit on them.
All the members gave thanks to God for granting them the latter rain of the Holy Spirit, and quickened their footsteps for the gospel with absolute faith, in order to save all people around the world.
