The Young Adults’ Feast of Tabernacles Preaching Festival 2015 was held for twenty-two days from the Sacred Assembly of the Feast of Trumpets (September 14). With the slogan, “Employees, preach at work places! Students, at campus! Soldiers, in the military! Let’s find our heavenly family!” the young adult members devoted themselves to the gospel work in each given situation and brought much fruit and inspiration. Other age groups were encouraged by them and became more eager to preach the gospel. As a result, the Churches of God in Korea were filled with an air of festivity and more than 10,000 new members were added during the festival.

On October 11, when the festive mood was still lingering, the Young Adults’ Feast of Tabernacles Preaching Festival Report 2015 was held at the Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute in order to evaluate the preaching festival, present greater vision of the gospel work, and cultivate the young adults’ mindset as the protagonists of the gospel in this age. The young adult members, the pastoral staff, and the teachers—about 7,000 in all were present. The young adults, who were entering the institute after bearing abundant fruit, looked brighter than ever.

During the service, Mother praised the young adults who willingly dedicated themselves to the gospel work, in step with the prophecies of the Bible. Mother emphasized the importance of taking actions and blessed them, saying, “Walking with God is to preach the truth, following the example of Christ who preached earnestly to save man-kind. Do the will of God diligently and lead many to righteousness to receive everlasting rewards in the glorious kingdom of heaven.”

After the service, the report proceeded with General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol’s education, good preaching case presentation, awards ceremony for the churches that produced outstanding results, and video watching. Pastor Kim explained that the ultimate goal of the Church of God is to preach the new covenant to seven billion people on the earth and save them. “As a mother takes great care of a newborn baby until he grows up, we need young adult gospel workers who will take good care of newly born-again souls and feed God’s word to them. Let’s set a clear goal, be armed with God’s word, and fill our hearts with love so that we can accomplish Save the World Movement,” he said, inspiring the young adult spirit.

The young adult members presented what they had learned during the preaching festival, and their secret of the productive gospel work corresponded to what Pastor Kim Joo-cheol emphasized. Through their reports, they shared their realization: “During the feasts, we looked back on our past and realized we had knowledge but did not put it into practice fully. During this festival, we didn’t do something new but just practiced Mother’s teachings—preaching, unity, good deeds, and self-discipline, which produced amazing results.”

After reporting, the awards ceremony was held to recognize the churches that did a great job. Twelve churches that produced noticeable results, with perfect unity among the members, having the young adults at the center, were honored with awards. Mother presented trophies and souvenirs to each overseer, and applauded all the churches that participated in the preaching festival.

The two videos, which vividly showed young adults putting all energy into displaying God’s glory with good deeds and pro-claiming the truth, reminded the participants of how touching the preaching festival had been, the joy of bearing fruit, and their precious realization. The report concluded with Mother’s word, “Let’s do not lose our passion for the gospel until we find all our scattered heavenly family members. Let’s do our best with the power of the Holy Spirit!”

On the way home, the young adults said to each other, “It is not the end but the beginning.” They said so to mean that they would take off their passive old selves and devote themselves to the gospel work with a new mindset. “God has waited for us, young adults, to take the lead in fulfilling the prophecies since before the creation of the world. Regarding the mission to find our lost brothers and sisters as my job, not others’, I’ll achieve it with all my heart and soul,” said Sister Kim Goh-wun (from Ulsan), showing her determination. “Although I say I love God, I haven’t done what God wants me to do until now. From now on, I’ll have Mother’s mind in me, and cheer up with unwavering faith and courage,” said Sister Han Ju-hui (from Goyang).

Through this Feast of Tabernacles Preaching Festival which was followed by the Day of Pentecost Preaching Festival, the young adults extended their range of the gospel work. Though the preaching festival ended, the young adults’ gospel work has now truly begun.
